Winchester City are now on 51 points after securing a win over the weekend.
The Citizens completed a 1-0 home victory over Hungerford, thanks to a goal scored by Ollie Briggs.
it’s the most points the Citizens have had since gaining promotion to The Southern Premier League back in 2022.
Winchester play again tonight, where they will face Poole Town at The Avenue Stadium. Citizens manager Craig Davis spoke ahead of the game:
“It’s a big game for both teams, obviously we want to kick on and see if we can cement a place in the top half of the league
We’re going into it off the back of a win, but from the last four games prior to our win we’ve only had two points and probably should have been eight.
But now we can go into it off the back of a win, we’re over 51 points, the most the club has ever got at this level and now we kick on and see how many more we can get.”
The Citizens will be keen to repeat what happened in the reverse fixture a few weeks ago, as they smashed Poole Town 4-0.
