ALAS, there was no hat-trick for Battrick as Star Romsey shone on a day of an almost complete wipe-out.
In one of only two games to survive the weekend weather, Rhys Battrick was on target in Star’s 5-4 win over Lyndhurst, with Gabe Davies and Ash Shergold (2) also contributing to a romp in the rain to give Star their second Division Two win of the season.
Jack Ison’s double was added to be singles from Craig Moorey and Jack Wayatt in a match where conditions contributed to the scoreline.
Compton stuck a dent in AFC Southside’s Division 8 title hopes as they salvaged a 1-1 draw with the title contenders.
