SCOTLAND host Northern Ireland at Hampden Park tonight at 7:45pm in what will be a chance for the Tartan Army to show their support before EURO 2024.
It is the second game in four days for Steve Clarke’s side who lost 4-0 to the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Friday night. However, those involved including the Dutch acknowledged the score didn’t reflect the game.
Defeat meant that the Tartan Army haven’t tasted victory in the last six games, which some fans are concerned about with Euro 2024 round the corner.
In what will be music to Scotland fans’ ears is that the two sides have faced each other 63 times, winning 36 with just 13 defeats.
Micheal O’Neill’s Northern Ireland were also in action on Friday night, drawing 1-1 away to Romania in Bucharest.
The draw against Euro 2024 bound opposition meant that the side are now unbeaten in the last 12 games.
Friday night’s draw was an impressive result for the young side O’Neill fielded with the average age of the starting team just 23.5.
Goalscoring debutant Jamie Reid was the oldest player at 29.
Hampden Park awaits the two sides in what is the last match before Scotland travel to Germany for Euro 2024.
