Has Padel become too expensive?

PADEL is a racket sport that has taken over the UK in recent years, but has the sport priced out its players?

If you are from the UK, there is a high chance you or somebody you know has played this sport and told you how much fun it is.

The reason it is so enjoyable is that padel does well at including players of all levels, as it does not take long to understand the basics. The 4-player game was designed to create a social and competitive atmosphere.

For students, though, they may find it more challenging to squeeze a game into their schedule, not because of timings, but the price.

Some padel clubs in London charge up to £100 per hour for a court. These are premium options, though, for those who are willing to pay these prices.

In Southampton, though, PadelStars has a much more affordable package, around £30 per hour for both indoor and outdoor courts.

Linked below is a radio documentary about the racket sport, and it explores all elements of padel, including the worry about pricing!
