Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has suffered a serious hamstring injury, which will rule him out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Branthwaite, one of Everton’s best players, picked up the injury during the Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool. He fell late in the game and was taken off the field on a stretcher in obvious pain.
The 23 year old, who missed out on a majority of the season with a previous hamstring injury, will face a spell on the sideline, but will avoid surgery.
The injury is unrelated to the hamstring area which required surgery in October.
Branthwaite will now undergo rehabilitation at Finch Farm with Everton’s medical team and is unlikely to feature again this season.
