Crucial clashes ahead for Non-League teams in Hampshire over the weekend

There are just a handful of games remaining in the 2025/26 campaign for our local non league sides with plenty to play for and many twists and turns still to come. Here is who your local side takes on tommorow and what they have to play for.

National League:

EASTLEIGH: Secured their step one status last Saturday despite losing to Altrincham on the road. This weekend, they are back at the Silverlake Stadium, welcoming Tamworth. The Spitfires will be aiming to make it back to back home triumphs following their 2-1 victory over Yeovil on Easter Monday. While there isn’t anything of note to play for, Richard Hill’s side will want to end what has been an underwhelming season on a high.

NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH:

AFC TOTTON: Sitting comfortbaly in 13th in their first ever season at step 2 level, Totton make the trip to Sussex to face already relegated Eastbourne Borough. A top half finish remains a real possibility for the Stags as they currently sit level on points with Dagenham & Redbridge. They are a side on form despite losing double promotion winning manager Jimmy Ball to fellow step 2 side Torquay. Totton have won 3 of their last four matches.

SOUTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE SOUTH:

SHOLING: Host Wimborne in a must win game if they want to reach the play-offs. The boatmen are four points and one position behind 5th placed Berkhamsted with 2 games remaining. Ross White’s men have lost consecutive league games following a 2-1 home defeat to high flyers Farnham Town last weekend. The reverse fixture ended 1-1 in December. Wimborne will be coming into the game with confidence, following a 6-0 drubbing of the leagues bottom side Tiverton on Tuesday.

Basingstoke: At the opposite end of the table, Basingstoke welcome Tiverton to the Winklebury football complex in attempt to secure their Step 3 status for a third consecutive season. Stoke’ sit in 15th, four points above Weymouth, who occupy the final relegation spot. Dan Brownlie’s side come into the game with back to back victories, following their 3-1 away victory over Hungerford, the victory relegated their opponents in the process. The reverse was played just 6 games ago in the middle of March and Basingstoke ran out 4-0 winners with all the goals coming in the first half.

ISTHMIAN LEAGUE – SOUTH CENTRAL DIVISION

AFC Portchester: Take on fourth placed Hanworth Villa. Portchy Sit in 5th and have secured play off football. They can still finish as high as third in attempt to secure a home tie in the semi-final. Gav Purway’s side will be looking to return to winning ways following last weekends dissapointing 2-1 defeat to Southall last time out. It was their first home defeat since early December.

Southern League South divison one

Winchester City: Occupy fourth place and on course for a home play off tie if they win both their remaining games. The Citizens make the drip to devon to face 8th placed Exmouth. Winch suffered defeat last time out against fellow play off chasing Shaftesbury. Three points would go a long way to helping Craig Davis’ side return to step 3 at the first time of asking.

Velocity Wessex League:

AFC Stoneham: Already crowed champions of the Velocity Wessex League, Stoneham host struggling Hythe & Dibden in their final home league game of the season. It will be an opportunity for those on the fringes to stake a claim for more first time action, as Stonheam have three cup finals, including a FA Vase final at Wembley in attempt to add more silverware to what has been a special campaign already for the club.
