Everton defender Michael Keane has signed a new contract extension to keep him at the club for the another year, until 2027.
Keane, who has made over 250 appearances for the Toffees, remains an important figure in the squad and a key presence in light of Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury.
Keane has become a regular starter under David Moyes making 30 apperances so far for the Toffees.
The 33 year old joined Everton from Burnley in 2017 and quickly established himself as a regular starter, known for his aerial ability and composure on the ball.
Since arriving at Everton, Keane has contributed crucial goals as well as consistent defensive performances, becoming one of the club’s most experienced players.
“I’m delighted to extend my stay, this club means a lot to me,” Keane said in a statement on the club’s website.
During his time at Everton, Keane has played a vital role in helping the team maintain its Premier League status, while also taking on leadership responsibilities within the squad.
