TOTTENHAM Hotspur have become the fifth team in Premier League history to lose three successive games after taking the lead in each one.
Following Spursβ 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, Ange Postecoglouβs side have lost their last three games after a fine start to the season with eight wins and two draws from their first 10 games.
They were thrashed 4-1 by fierce London rivals Chelsea, and defeated 2-1 by both Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Villains.
The Lilywhites were missing six first-team starters against Villa as theyβve been struck by suspensions and unfortunate injuries.
James Maddison, Micky Van de Ven, Pape Matar Sarr, and Richarlison were ruled out due to injury, whilst Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma served their bans.
Tottenham were struck with another blow as Rodrigo Bentancur hobbled off following a late challenge from Villa defender Matty Cash.
Despite experiencing a rocky period of their campaign, Tottenham fans, journalists, and pundits do not seem to be worried about the Lilywhites’ spiralling form due to their dominant style of play under Postecoglou.
The North Londoners will have the chance to bounce back at the Etihad Stadium next weekend when they face Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side, who will be eager to secure three points to help chase down Arsenal.
