Southampton’s best chance on paper to secure three points comes this weekend as they face Wolves at home to avoid being deemed as the worst Premier League team in history.

The game against Wolves tomorrow will be Saints best chance to beat Derby County’s record low season of 11 points in a season .

After a poor season and a future destined to be back in Championship football Southampton’s only real chance to avoid a branding of worst team in premier league history is to beat fellow relegation candidate Wolves.

The last games for Saints won’t be easy playing the likes of Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, former champions Manchester City and Arsenal last game makes this chance against Wolves all the more important for Southampton to claw themselves away from a record low humiliating season.

There only other chance for the Saints to regain some dignity will be away to Leicester who will most likely be joining the Saints on the trip back down to the championship.

However, manager Ivan Juric is still very confident saying “Wolves will be closer to the relegation zone after this weekend.”

Also saying that ” this (Wolves Game) and Crystal Palace’s games are our biggets games of the season but we can compete”

The south coast team are currently sitting rock bottom of the Premier League on 9 points out of their last 28 league games, 2 points away from the record low of 11 points. They will play Wolves at home who have 23 points just above the relegation zone.
