THE WELL RESPECTED Solent Kestrels Basketball Club beat the London Lions II 82-60 on Sunday 30th November.
I spoke to player of the week Gregg Durand, Jack O’Keefe and captain Andre Arrisol to find out the secret to their success.
The day before the Quarter finals the Kestrels faced the Barnet Bulldogs which meant they may have been slightly tired, despite this they came away with a win.
Despite Andre Arrisol picking up an injury to his hand after his hard work on 30th November he is staying humble and is working hard to motivate his team going forward.
Arrisol’s team are eager to gain another trophy to add to the cabinet.
Will they keep their seven-game winning streak despite injuries on the team?
Andre explains how socialising is vital to the chemistry of his team.
Coach Jack expressed his gratitude to his younger players in particular.
He said: “We are lucky that we get to coach them everyday at our partner academy Itchen College.”
