Ruben Amorim insists this Manchester United player will not leave in the summer

MANCHESTER United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that he will not let Bruno Fernandes leave in the summer.

Fernandes, the club captain of 13th placed Manchester United, had been rumoured to be switching the Red Devils outfit for the white and black of Real Madrid, but a move now seems unlikely for the 30-year-old.

When probed about the potential exit for the Portuguese international, ahead of Manchester United’s away clash at Nottingham Forest tonight, Ruben Amorim adamantly stated: “No, it’s not going to happen, he’s not going anywhere because I’ve already told him.”

Fernandes — who has amassed 16 goals in all competitions this season — has been the star player for Amorim’s side this season while the Red Devils have struggled in the domestic competitions.

Manchester United’s only chance of avoiding a trophy-less season is the Europa League, where they face Olympique Lyonnais in the quarter-finals.

Fernandes seems set to remain a Manchester United player and a key part of Amorim’s plans for the rebuilding of the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
