ROMSEY Rugby Football Club 1st XV return to Ganger Farm tomorrow afternoon as they host Fareham Heathens.
Following the side’s first victory of their Hampshire Counties II season last weekend against Southampton, the Roms will look to make it back-to-back victories at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
Jason Berry’s side currently sit 10th in the league standings, a place and three points above Saturday’s visitors, who are still yet to open their winning account for the season.
Victory over Fareham Heathens could see Romsey leapfrog both Ventnor and Eastleigh into 8th place in the league standings.
Last weekend’s try scoring debutant, Liam O’Neill, drops to the bench with vice-captain Ollie Soundy taking his place on the wing.
Also returning to the starting XV, Ben Hoad, vice-captain Ryan Daly, Josh Clark and Ethan Hunt, as they take the places of Ciaran O’Brien, Nate Greathead, Dylan Argent, and Tom Stanfield respectively.
1st XV head coach Jason Berry said: “I’m looking forward to it. We picked up a five-point win last week, so the plan is to go and get another five-point win.
“Despite the rain, we had 40 lads down at training yesterday evening. They’re all committed and are all a great bunch. We’ve just got to keep grafting and the wins will come.”
