PREVIEW: Crystal Palace vs Sheffield United

IT’S make or break for Roy Hodgson and his Crystal Palace side, who host Sheffield United, at Selhurst park tonight.

The 76-year-old has come under a lot of criticism recently, as the Eagles boast just two wins in 16 games.

Last week’s humiliating 5-0 defeat against Arsenal saw the fans voice their frustrations, with them displaying banners, calling out the ownership and their disconnect with the club.

Since then the board have taken some action, signing right-back Daniel Muñoz from Belgian side Genk for a fee of around £6.9m, who could potentially feature today.

However, things are even worse for the Blades who sit bottom of the league, having picked up just ten points all season.

The reverse fixture saw the South London side claim victory, after Odsonne Edouard netted a second half goal, to give Palace a tight 1-0 win.

But since then, Paul Heckingbottom has been sacked and replaced with former manager Chris Wilder, who’s only been able to pick up one win since he took over in early December.

The last five meetings between the two sides have seen no more than two goals, and a clean sheet has featured in every game, suggesting tonight isn’t going to be a classic, but rather a game of tactics.

Anything but a win tonight for Hodgson, has the potential to leave his job in severe jeopardy.
