Portsmouth’s new PDC star

PORTSMOUTH’S Adam Lipscombe gained his PDC Tour Card through Q School, and tells Solent Sports News of his journey.

Adam, 32, has guaranteed a spot on the tour for the next two years after going through Q school – the starting point for darts players looking to go professional.

There were just 29 Tour Cards, with a staggering 800 other players fighting it out for them, with Lipscombe being one of the lucky few.

‘Baby Boy’ has recently come up against some of dart’s stars such as Connor Scutt, William O’Connor and Gian van Veen.

He was encouraged to pick up darts by his Dad and Grandad after he “spent too much time on [his] PlayStation”

Lipscombe went on to say that he wants to retain his tour card, keep progressing and improving.

Despite this new found success; he still trains Bitterne Park Social Club where he faced off against Solent Sport’s Millie Payne
