Mauricio Pochettino urges Chelsea to prove they’re not a one man team against Arsenal

CHELSEA’S Talisman and Premier League top goal scorer Cole Palmer could miss tonights huge London derby match with Arsenal.

The Blues manager Mauricio Pochettino says his players must show they are “Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club”.

The 21 year old missed training yesterday due to illness and is a doubt to play against Arsenal at the Emirates.

It will be the first game Palmer has missed for Chelsea since December amid the electric form he has been in recently and throughout the season as a whole.

The ex Manchester City player is gunning for the Premier League golden boot and is level with his old teammate Erling Haaland on an impressive 20 league goals.

Pochettino was asked ahead of the London Derby whether his other attackers will be capable of filling in should his star man be absent.

He told reporters: “We will see. It is a good challenge if Palmer is not available tomorrow. Its a good challenge and those in a similar position”.

“If I were them, I would be motivated to go there tomorrow and show them that this is Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club”.

It would have been a tough task to travel to the Emirates to take on Arsenal with Palmer and it will become an even tougher task without him.

Despite the odds being stacked against the South West London club, they will look to bounce back after being knocked out of the FA cup in the semi final against Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side come into this game looking to continue their title challenge with a win tonight after losing to Aston Villa in recent weeks.

The Gunners were also knocked out of the Champions League last week by Bayern Munich so the Premier League has become the only trophy still possible to win for Arsenal.
