AS we have entered December, the busy festive period of football has only just begun.
All 20 teams will have to get used to playing twice a week, with some of the bigger clubs playing across three different competitions.
However, the amount of injuries so far this season is already up by 15% compared to this time last year, suggesting that this busy festive period could damage this statistic further.
This is a worry for all stakeholders involved in the club, including journalists.
VAVEL editor Alex Mitton said: “The congested fixture list has affected Spurs just like every single club.
“James Maddison and Micky Van de Ven’s injuries have only added to that. This is a struggle, even without European football.”
However, not everyone in football has the same opinion.
