WINCHESTER City have secured the services of defender Harry Hutchinson from fellow Southern League Premier South outfit Dorchester Town on an initial one-month loan.
Hutchinson joins in a time of need for Craig Davis’s injury plagued squad, adding much needed strength and depth to his severely weekend side.
Subject to Southern League approval, the vastly experienced defender could be available for selection when The Citizens travel to Tavistock in the FA Trophy first round tomorrow.
Speaking to Winchester City media, Hutchinson says he is delighted to have joined the club:
”I’m delighted to have signed on a months loan here at Winch. I will give my all for the club and fans in my time here.”

The full back has given an insight to the Winchester fans on his style of play and can’t wait to get started after his mixed start to the season.
”I like to get forward and get crosses in the box and hope to have a positive impact on the team. Can’t wait to get going.”

Winchester Manager Craig Davis is delighted to have Hutchinson at the club and believes he will fit in seamlessly.
”Harry is a really good player, we’ve played against him a lot of times when he was at Poole Town in the last couple of years.
He was apart of a really successful Poole Town team under Tommy Killick, he always played well against us.
He’s another great lad, another lad that i know will fit right in with what we’re about as a team. Great attitude, top player and we’re delighted to have him with us and giving him the sort of game time he is needing.

Dorchester Town boss Tommy Killick states the loan is best for all parties:
“It’s in everyone’s interests for Harry to go out on loan and get some games, and hopefully going to Winchester will give him the opportunity of doing that and he’ll enjoy his time there, but I would stress that Harry is very much a part of our longer term plans.”

Hutchinson has struggled for game time this season at the Magpies, with him unable to displace Ollie Haste from the side.
This is despite the left back only joining the club in the summer from league rivals Poole Town, where he played under current Dorchester Town boss Tommy Killick.
