FIA Ethics Committee Clears Mohammed Ben Sulayem

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has been exonerated of any wrongdoing in relation to the 2023 Saudi Arabian and Las Vegas Grands Prix.

The FIA Ethics Committee conducted a thorough investigation and concluded that there was “no evidence to support claims of interference.”

Ben Sulayem has been cleared of allegations pertaining to two specific incidents:

Firstly, accusations of influencing the Stewards’ decision regarding an additional penalty on Car 14 (Fernando Alonso) during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2023, following a challenge from the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team.

Secondly, there were allegations of attempting to meddle with the track certification process for the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023.

The Ethics Committee confirmed that the certification process was completed and approved in a timely manner.

This outcome represents a significant development, affirming Ben Sulayem’s integrity and the transparency of the FIA’s operations in overseeing Formula 1 events.
