The blues remain undefeated in the Conference League after a win in their first leg against Danish side Copenhagen in a 2-1 victory.

After a goalless first half, captain Reece James scored in the opening minute of the second half with a nice low shotted goal.

Enzo Fernandez who got subbed in the second half of the game made an instant impact scoring in the 65th minute of the game after some nice link-up play with team-mate Tyrique George.

In the Europa league round of 16 Manchester United faced Spanish side Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena.

Coming into this game neither team has been in a good run of form, Manchester United had just lost against Fulham on Sunday in the FA Cup, Victor Lindelof and Joshua Zirkzee both missed their penalties.

On the same day Aritz Elustondo received a red card in the 17th minute, after the defender got sent off everything went downhill for Real Sociedad as they got thrashed 4-0 by Barcelona.

In the first half we saw both teams slowly settle into the game, Real Sociedad lacked an attacking threat as they ended the half without a shot on target.

Manchester United weren’t any better, the only chances came from Patrick Dorgu and Alejandro Garnacho.

The second half was a lot more lively as we saw more pace and intent from both sides but it was Manchester United who opened up the game.

Some brilliant held up play by Argentinian winger Garnacho, in which then he would cut back and gifting Joshua Zirkzee his 6th goal of the season.

After the red devils were 1-0 up, they were very much in control of the game dominating in possesion and creating more chances.

Despite outplaying their opponents, in the 70th minute Manchester united conceded a penalty after Bruno Fernandes outstreched his arm with a handball.

Oyarzbal accidentaly bumped into the referee but this didn’t stop him from being calm and composed as he slotted the ball into the net.

Being 14th in the premier league table and getting knocked out of both the FA and Carabao Cup, the Europa League is the only trophy that the team is fighting for.

Luckily for them, they play the second leg at their beloved Old Trafford.

Heading into this game, AZ Alkmaar were on great form having won two of the previous three games against Roma and Galatasaray.

After yesterday’s fixture they continue their inform run in Europe with an upset against injury-deplated Tottenham Hotspur.

Another Spursy season for Tottenham as Lucas Bergvall scored an unfortunate own goal in the 18th minute.

This ended up being the only goal of the fixture.

Despite Spurs having more possession, the Dutch side ended up having the better chances.

If it weren’t for Vicario’s heroic saves then this could have been a much worse outcome.

Ange Postecoglou famously stated ” I always win things in my second year” but now he’s 13th in the Premier League table and out of both the Carabao and FA Cup.

It looks like the English side will have another trophy-less season if they don’t turn things around in the second leg.
