Bukayo Saka pulls out of England squad

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal’s talented forward has had to step back from the England squad due to an injury setback.

Saka, who has been a standout performer for Arsenal this season, contributing to their position at the top of the Premier League table and gearing up for a crucial Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich, will unfortunately miss out on the upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

These friendlies were pivotal opportunities for players to impress Gareth Southgate ahead of the Euro 2024 squad selection in May.

However, Saka’s absence is a precautionary measure due to a minor muscle issue. He will return to Arsenal for further evaluation and rehabilitation, ensuring his fitness is prioritized.

The Football Association confirmed Bukayo Saka’s departure from the England camp, emphasizing his return to Arsenal for continued recovery.

Despite Saka’s absence, no immediate replacements are planned, as the remaining 25-man England squad focuses on their preparations for the upcoming internationals.

During his time at St George’s Park, Saka had been working diligently on an individual training program alongside notable figures like captain Harry Kane, Cole Palmer, and Jordan Henderson.

While his absence is regrettable, Saka’s health remains the top priority for both club and country as they navigate through the season.
