Al Nassr return to the Saudi Pro League with comfortable win over Al Okhdood

AL NASSR beat Al Okhdood 3-1 on Thursday night at Al Awaal Park, with Ronaldo once again showing he’s still got it at 39.

Despite the comfortable score for Nassr it was the visitors who took an early lead through a Godwin header, which could have been easily dealt with by the Nassr defence beforehand.

The Nassr pressure was building and finally paid off in the 29th Minute when Mane bundled a ball over the line after a smart save from Vitor.

The pressure didn’t stop with the equaliser and following a clumsy challenge in the box, Nassr had a penalty. With the main man Ronaldo stepping up and calmly converting the penalty to give Al Nassr a 2-1 lead in the 42nd minute.

In the second half Nassr showed their higher levels of quality by just seamlessly passing the ball around for 35 minutes, and eventually in the 88th minute got another goal with a lovely near post header from Mane to seal all 3 points.

Al Nassr move into 3rd in the Saudi Pro Legaue table behind league leaders Al Hilal and 2nd place Al Ittihad.
