UNBEATEN Al Nassr win once again, dispatching Al Amal 3-0 on Friday afternoon at the Al Nassr Stadium, Riyadh.
Al Nassr continue to dominate the Saudi Women’s Premier League this season as they extended their lead at the top of the League.
The first chance of the game came the way of the hosts, Duda’s free kick looked to be destined for the back of the net, but it was smartly saved by Irene Tobar in what would be a busy afternoon for her.
Al Nassr should have taken the lead in the 34th minute, a beautiful chipped ball through ball to Kipoyi who cut back inside before trying to get a clean shot off, but Tobar was there to smother the ball out for a corner.
Al Amal valiantly held on into the second half, however Al Nassr’s quality shone through as Luvanga shimmied her through the defense before calmly poking the ball through to Kipoyi who couldn’t miss and gave Al Nassr the lead.
Al Nassr came close to doubling their lead in the 50th minute, another smart save from Tobar from a decent strike from the edge of the area.
Luvanga got Al Nassr their second goal in the 80th minute, latching onto a spilt shot from Tobar before burying it into the back of the net.
In the 89th minute Luvanga got her second of the afternoon and Al Nassr’s third. A calm finish from the edge of the area past Tobar in goal.
Al Nassr look to have wrapped up the League Title already, it is hardly a surprise as they have been the only winners since the competition began in 2022.
