Boxing is a language which knows no bounds and will speak to anyone and everyone, no matter who listens. This week was no different.
Japans Joy-
Junto Nakatani beats Alexandre Santiago via TKO in round 6.
Santiago put in a good fight especially in the first two rounds catching Nakatani with a few good hooks.
Nakatani took control after round 3 and started battering Santiago using his reach to box well on the outside.
He then went on to knock down Santiago in the 6th with a flush left catching him on the chin.
Keeping the pressure on later that round Nakatani finished the fight with a brutal right hook followed by a left hook on the way down.
Santiago was unable to gather himself causing the referee to end the fight.
Takuma Inoue beat Jerwin Ancajas by body shot ko in round 9.
After being walked out with the belt by brother, Naoya Inoue, Takuma put a dominant display on to defend the WBA World Bantamweight title.
Despite Ancajas putting up a strong display winning the 4th round, Inoue’s power and perfectly placed body shots were too much for the Mexican.
Kosei Tanaka wins the WBO Super flyweight title and becomes 4 weight world champion.
Tanaka scored a unanimous decision win over Christian Bacasegua.
The scores were way in favour of Tanaka 117-110, 116-111 and 119-108.
He knocked Bacasegua down in the 8th but Bacasegua didn’t give up making Tanaka work for the win.
Tanaka now moves to a 19-1 record.
Magnificent Matchroom-
Berlanga KO’s McCrory with a thunderous right overhand.
The writing was on the wall early on as Berlanga was catching McCrory with the same strike that finished him off.
Even stunning the Irishman in third with the same shot.
Berlanga was warned earlier into this one about a low blow which McCrory was given time for.
But despite this round six came along and so did the brutally quick overhand from Berlanga which finished the fight off.

The Cuban powerhouse will now look to the remainder of the division and even potentially to Canelo Alvarez who is without a confirmed opponent for his next bout.
Andy Cruz wins by unanimous decision to go 3-0.
Cruz hurt his opponent mid way thru the 2nd almost finishing the fight but Zammaripa held on barely to the end of the round.
Round 4 saw Cruz bust the nose of Zammaripa as we saw spots of bleeding running out the nose of the Mexican.
Cruz had him on skates at the end of round 7 causing Zammaripa to essentially run away from the Cuban.
Credit to Zammaripa despite the beating he still fired back and even grew into the fight refusing to be finished.
The decorated amateur now improves to 3-0.

Catteral vs Taylor press conference
After a fiery first fight Catteral and Taylor were reunited to take metaphorical jabs at each other this week.
Well that was the plan until Catteral took aim at Taylor after Taylor attempted to gift Jack a colouring book.
Thew two then proceeded to take shots at each other for the remainder of the conference.
My personal favourite-
“People keep with the England Vs Scotland narrative but I think of it as me fighting a prick” Catteral
The beautifully responded by Taylor with “did you think of that all by yourself Jack”
April 27th has a strong confirmed Co-main event with Peter McGrail taking on Ja’Rico O’Quinn.
Tank vs Frank Martin- confirmed
Gervonta Davis’s next fight is seemingly confined to be Frank Martin.
Reports earlier in the week from Michael Benson and Boxing Kingdom spoke about the prospect of the fight happening in the USA.
Then Tank had his own words in response to these rumours.
Either way it seems like the opponent has been confirmed to be Frank Martin.
The Ben Shalom corner seems to be a weekly occurrence for Boxxer and Shalom as we have another sit down with the young promoter.

Garcia Haney Have Home Trouble-
A change of venue for Garcia and Haney has been confirmed.
The fight was to be contested in the city of sin but has now been moved to the Barclays Center.
The decision has been met with confusion and intrigue regarding the change.
Garcia has even threatened to pull out of the fight expressing a desire to keep the fight in the original venue.
The reported reasoning for the change was a lack of a available venue for April 20th in Vegas whereas New York had the Barclays Center ready.
