REAL Madrid will be without Jude Bellingham for their Champions League last-16-first-leg tie away to RB Leipzig.
During Los Blancos’ 4-0 victory over La Liga title challengers Girona, the midfielder limped off with an ankle injury after scoring his second goal of the game.
So far this season the Englishman has scored 16 goals in 21 league matches, making him the top scorer in the division
Speaking on the injuries Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said: “We never think of those who aren’t here it’s fair to think about those who are there.
“We have to think that Bellingham isn’t here, but we’ve won 4 out of 4 games without him.
“The team is solid, professional, motivated and the atmosphere is good, everyone is contributing and not complaining.
“We’ve reached this point in the season in good shape with all the difficulties and we’ve managed to overcome them thanks to the character of the players.”
Although the Spanish side will be without their star signing, the home side have only won one of their last six games in the Bundesliga, leaving them in 5th position.
Furthermore, Leipzig have not kept a clean sheet in their last 13 European matches, but have scored in their last, meaning goals could be flying in.
When the teams played each other last season in the Champions League the German team claimed a 3-2 victory.
The fixture will be available to watch in the UK on TNT Sports 2 or stream Discovery Plus or you can tune in live to Solent Sports News You Tube Channel for live updates.
