THE UK’s fastest growing sport has now officially arrived in Southampton earlier this year with state of the art facilities.
Padel Hub opened at the end of August after the growing demand of the sport led to new and improved courts arriving in Hampshire.
The facilities includes five in-door courts, a bar for drinks and food and it even has its own gym for members to use as well.
The sport has taken the world by storm with it quickly becoming a popular activity for people across the world; but why is that?
Padel is easy for beginners to learn as compared to tennis you serve underarm and play with a solid paddle instead of a strung racket.
The enclosed, smaller court lets the ball bounce off of the glass walls, making longer and more fun rallies that happen immediately.
The sport almost always ensures a built-in-social experience as the game is almost always played in doubles, which encourages continuous conversation, teamwork and a community atmosphere.
