SPURS have been scrutinised for their ‘recent’ form despite not winning since 2025 and have advertised a role for a lead sports psychologist to aid their season.
New manager, Roberto De Zerbi has wasted no time in strengthening his Spurs team, working with the players mental health to keep them focused on the football.
In a LinkedIn advert the club posted, the north London side said they are seeking an “outstanding performance psychologist” to deliver “evidence-based psychological support to elite players”.
“The role encompasses individual player support, systemic work across the coaching and performance staff, and the ongoing development of a psychologically informed performance culture throughout the team,” the advert added.
“This role demands a practitioner who is credible, discreet, and highly effective in a Premier League environment, capable of building trust with players and coaches while operating with the professional rigor expected at the highest level of the game.”
The ‘credible’ element will be watched closely as Spurs cannot afford any mistakes now. They sit in 18th, two points from safety with only five matches left to play.
They are still to face; Wolves away, Aston Villa away, Leeds at home, Chelsea away, and lastly, Everton at home.
Every game is now a cup-final for spurs as they look to stay up, in Premier League football. Hopefully this Sports psychologist can help the lilywhites find their form!
