AMONGST the Friday news day fun, Solent Sports Journalism students were asked about who they thought the most overrated athletes of all time were, and there were some bad answers!
Graham Hiley kicked us off with a shout for Mohamed Salah. To be honest, this is probably the best answer in terms of how Hiley supported his take.
However, Graham said “he doesn’t turn up enough in the big games for me” despite recording 64 goal involvements in 74 games against the ‘Big-Six’. Although, to give him ‘Hiley’ deserved credit, Salah has not scored in open play in 11+ cup finals for club and country.
Moving on, Beau Brown further stirred the Liverpool pot with Steven Gerrard claiming he was the reason that his Liverpool teams never own any Premier League titles! This might be Beau’s Manchester United bias shining through though…
The next answer is what irritated the most people on social media! Will Charlton claimed Usain Bolt has the eaisest job as “all he has to do is run for ten seconds.” Alright Will, you give it a go!
