LIAM Rosenior’s tenure so far at Stamford Bridge has been… interesting.
He has provided a masterclass whenever they have played in cup competitions against lower league sides – winning 5-1, 4-0, 4-2 and 7-0 in the FA Cup, but have been underwhelming in the Premier League.
Being as a high as second as second in December, Chelsea now sit in a position where they have a realistic chance of not playing any form of European football at all next season.
They have lost six of their last seven in all competitions, and have failed to score in their last four league games, losing them all and if they suffer another defeat at Brighton on Tuesday evening, it will be the first time this has happened since 1993.
Chelsea will travel to the south coast as they look to close the gap on fifth-placed Liverpool, who currently reside seven points ahead of the Blues.
However, they will be under a lot of pressure, with Brighton just one point off knowing they will fly up into sixth with a win.
Brighton certainly look in good stead according to form, picking up five wins in their last seven league games, with their only defeat coming to Arsenal while also earning a victory over defending champions Liverpool.
Chelsea meanwhile, as aforementioned are in awful form, and there is already talks behind yet another manager switch for the Blues in the summer.
It has been a nightmare second half of the league season for Chelsea, and their season run-in is not easy either, still having to travel to both Anfield and the Stadium of Light.
In terms of recent meetings, things are also swaying Brighton’s favour, with the Seagulls earning victories in each of their last three meetings, winning their last two home games in the fixture.
