Saints Legends Secures Southern Central Saftey

Southampton legend Tim Flowers has once again guided Bromsgrove Sporting to saftey.

Flowers 59, who made 230 appearances for the Saints between 1986 and 1993, won the Premier League with Blackburn in the 1994/95 season and made 11 appearances for England, has been in charge of Bromsgrove since Scott Adey-Linforth left the club back in November.

Flowers had already once guided the Rouslers to safety back in 2024, replacing player mananger Micheal McGrath on an interim basis, but even though he guided the Rouslers to safety, inconsistent result and style of play that drew negative reaction from fans led Flowers to not be offered the job permanently.

Bromsgrove safety was officially secured on Saturday after 2-0 victory away to Stratford, which put the rosulers six points clear of St Ives with just one game to go.

It was tough going for Flowers who had only secured two wins since becomming manager going into the final fives games of the season, with fans criticisng his style play and approch to games especilly the mentailty the many games seeing his side concedd first then struggling to fight back.

Which include a last minuite equaliser at bottom of the league Royston at the time.

With close rivals Alvchurch and Stafmord picking up reuslt as well as a Stourbirdge side that has just appointed Adey-Linforth as thier manager picking up 37 points acorss 21 games. It looked like a bad decison had been made

Fortunalty for flowers three wins in the previous five games including agaisnt second in league Splanding and St Ives.

Flowers secured Bromsgrove place in step three for next season, and maybe he’s saved his job aswell.
