PETR VLACHOVSKY, manager of first-division side 1.FC Slovacko in the Champions League and was once voted the Czech Republic’s best women’s coach, used a miniature camera hidden in his backpack to record at least 13 players.
He recorded them showering and changing in a variety of locker rooms before and after training, and matches between 2019 and 2023.
The youngest player he recorded is 17.
Some vomited when they found out, some left the club, and some even sough psychological help.
Kristina Janku, who now plays in Poland, admits that she is now constantly watching for hidden cameras in new places she visits.
In May 2025, a criminal court handed Vlachovsky a suspended one year prison sentence and a five year domestic coaching ban, he was also found guilty of having child pornography on his computer.
UEFA could chose to remove his licence, but as it stands, there is nothing stopping Vlachovsky from coaching outside of the Czech Republic.
Janku spoke on her former coach: “It’s not comfortable to speak about it but it is needed. Don’t be afraid to solve the problem, don’t be silent about it. When something like that happens, don’t let him coach again.”
Players only received 20,000 CZK ($940) between them in compensation.
FIFPRO secretary general Alex Phillips believes that what happened to Janku and her teammates is the “tip of the iceberg.”
