FA Cup Confirmed Dates

Southampton host Arsenal in the FA Cup quarter-finals on April 4th, 20:00.

Having impressed against Premier League outfit, Fulham, snatching victory and a pass through to the next round via a 90+1 minute penalty by Ross Stewart, Premier League leaders Arsenal await the Saints under the lights of St. Mary’s.

Arsenal secured thier place in the quater-finals with an unconvincing win over League One’s Mansfield Town. Eberechi Eze was the match winner with a strike that finally resembled Premier League level talent, within a poor Arsenal display.

The game is now confirmed as an 20:00pm kick-off on the South Coast.

The FA Cup weekend commences on April 4th at 12:45pm with a Premier League titans clash – Manchester City host Premier League holders, Liverpool.

The Citizens came from 1-0 down to win at St.James Park 1-3, an imprerssive away win against Newcatsle for the second time in cup competitions, this season.

Liverpool erased their Premier League blunder against Wolves in which they lost 2-1 with an FA Cup win against them at Molineux just three days later. The FA Cup tie saw redemption for Arne Slot’s Liverpool as they won 1-3, following their suprise defeat in the league.

Chelsea host 24th placing League One side Port Vale, who shocked Premier League Sunderland with a 1-0 win at Vale Park. Goal scorer and childhood Newcastle fan, Ben Waine celebrated with a trademark Alan Shearer celebration to rub salt into the wounds of the Black Cats.

Chelsea secured their place in the quater-finals with an extra-time win against strong Championship side, Wrexham. The thriller ended 2-4, Chelsea coming from behind twice as Wrexham were down to 10 men for the whole of extra time.

The last FA Cup action of the weekend is an afternoon kick off on Sunday at the London Stadium – West Ham host Leeds United.

The Irons beat Brentford 5-3 on penalties in the last round after the Bees’ Igor Thiago took the tie to extra time with a late goal. Jarrod Bowen was at the double for West Ham as he netted both of The Hammers two goals within the opeing 34 minutes.

Leeds cruised into the quaterfinals after a stella home showing at Elland Road against Norwich City, last round. The Whites won 3-0 with a beautiful volley from Sean Longstaff opening the scoring before Gabriel Gudmundsson and Joël Piroe secured Leeds place in the quaters.
