That’s the forecast greeting competitors ahead of tomorrow morning’s penultimate men’s ski final in the World Ocean Series- and it’s exactly the kind of chaos that defines champions.
It’s what Solent Sports Journalism’s very own, Piran Phillips, will be taking on as he enters a five-way battle for the title and the chance to become the first non-Australian or Kiwi to win.
The conditions promise heavy water and crosswinds that could test even the most seasoned ocean athletes, and in surf ski racing, weather shapes tactics, stamina and survival.
After the 7:30 AM AEST start, they will redo the qualifiers for the final round, with each round an opportunity to put points on the scoreboard.
