THE Spitfires have announced the signing of midfielder Stepien-Iwumene from Derby County on a short term-loan deal.
Stepien-Iwumene could be in line to make his debut for the Spitfires tomorrow as they host an in-form Wealdstone side.
The 19-year-old is no stranger to the area, having spent a brief period at the Southampton academy in 2023, where he played a role in helping the U21s secure the PL2 title.
Before his brief stint at Southampton, Stepien-Iwumene came through the ranks at Sutton United, where he made a strong impression as a youngster.
Following his time on the south coast, the midfielder joined Derby County’s U21s after impressing during a trial – he has since made seven appearances for their youth side so far this season.
The Spitfires currently sit 12th in the Vanarama National League and are without a win in nine matches.
