THE Premier League monthly awards have been announced and Chelsea have won two of the four available with Aston Villa and Manchester United winning the other two.
The Player of the Month was given to Cole Palmer after he racked up five goals and one assist in four games with four goals coming against Brighton.
Other players in the running for POTM were Mohammed Salah, Luis Diaz, Ollie Watkins, Nicholas Jackson and Dwight Mcneil.
Palmer was also in the running for Guinness Goal of the Month for his stunning long range free kick against the Seagulls but was beaten by Jhon Duran.
The Colombian has scored a fair few screamers in recent matches including a winner against Bayern Munich in the Champions League but his thunderbolt against Everton was what took the crown.
After receiving the ball, Duran hit it from 40 yards and it rifled into the top right corner of the goal, leaving Jordan Pickford helpless.
On the topic of goalkeepers, the Premier League Save of the Month was given to Manchester United’s Andre Onana after he made a super double save against Crystal Palace.
An outside of the box effort from Jean-Philippe Mateta was saved with a low dive to his left, then he quickly recovered to save a point blank rebound by Ismaïla Sarr, pushing the ball behind for a corner.
Finally, the Barclays Manager of the Month is Chelseas Enzo Maresca for winning four of four games in October.
