Match Preview: Copenhagen v Manchester City

DEFENDING European champions, Manchester City are to face Copenhagen in the first leg of the Round of 16 in the Champions League.

Manchester City currently are unbeaten in their previous 19 games in the competition and are looking to extend this run further.

In the group stages, Copenhagen pulled off an incredible fight to beat Manchester United and they can only hope to do the same tonight to City.

However, last season in the group stage, Guardiola’s side thrashed Copenhagen, with the scoreline ending 5-0.

Erling Haaland, Riyhad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez all got onto the scoresheet last time and with a fully fit squad for this fixture, it could be anyone’s game to score.

Unfortunately for the hosts, they do not have a full squad available for the match up.

Lukas Lerager is suspended with Davit Khocholava and Theo Sander are still out injured. Birger Meling is also in doubt and it is unsure whether he will feature.

As the game kicks off, both managers have put out a strong lineup for their sides and a fight is expected to be made bt
