Luke Littler set to make his Darts Premier League debut

THE 17-year-old sensation will be playing against Luke Humphries on Thursday night in what people will be his first of many appearances in the tournament.

Humphries said that Littler ‘deserves all the plaudits he’s getting’ ahead of their clash in the Dutch Darts Masters.

He also predicted that the two will have a ’20-year rivalry’ and could break away from their opponents, with many more meetings in championship finals to come.

The darting powerhouses have faced each other twice already this month in as many tournaments, with Humphries beating Littler in the final of the World Darts Championship.

Littler was included in the all-star Premier League lineup following his magical run in the Worlds.

Only himself and Nathan Aspinall are currently without World Championship titles, the other six players have all lifted the trophy at least once over the years.

Fans have described this year’s lineup as ‘one of the best’ ever.

The only inclusion that was up for debate was Peter Wright, because of his drop in form over the last year or so. Many people believed that Chris Dobey should feel ‘hard done by’ for being left out.
