SALISBURY FC will host Sholing FC in the first round proper of the FA Cup on Saturday the 7th of November.
Both sides will make history when they face each other, as this will be the first time the semi-professional clubs have made it this far in the competition.
This tie really shows how much the FA Cup benefits lower league sides by giving them more national exposure and financial benefits
Salisbury have received high attendances recently because of this, for example 1,948 attended their qualifying fixture against Eastbourne Borough.
The winner of the clash on Saturday will receive just over £47,000 and a chance to play a high level team in the next round.
Even the loser of the tie will earn around £15,000 for just reaching this point of the competition, as well as the money they have made from the previous rounds.
Sholing will see themselves as the underdogs for Saturday, being one division below National League South side Salisbury.
However, The boatmen have proved themselves to beat higher level teams before, beating 6th tier Ebbsfleet United on their route to the first round proper.
