AFC Totton beat Plymouth Parkway 2-1 at the snows stadium to advance to the next round of the cup.
Jimmy Bull’s side were forced into playing away from the style that he would’ve liked.
“We didn’t maintain our aggressiveness which forced us to play in our own half.”
“Second half we changed that and went a lot more aggressive a lot more on the front foot and were worthy winners in the end.”
Goals from Sam Magri and Matty Burrows were enough to clinch the victory despite a late goal from the opponents.
The goal came from a slip that Bull doesn’t believe would’ve happened had Magri not slipped.
“Sometimes in football your centre half slips, i think if Mags doesn’t slip then they don’t score a goal but it happens and you just have to deal with it.” Bull said.
AFC Totton will face Merthyr Town in the next round of Isuzu FA trophy.
