Southampton Vs QPR Preview

SOUTHAMPTON host Queens Park Rangers tonight at St Marys in the EFL Championship, a game which could be a deciding point in the outcome of the season.

Southampton who drew to Charlton Athletic over the weekend will look to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

QPR will look to continue a winning away form after their dominant victory over Hull City on Saturday.

In the reverse fixture this season at Loftus Road Southampton were successful in their trip to London, goals from Jay Robinson and Leo Scienza were enough to seal all three points, despite a Rumarn Burrell.

The Saint have won all of their last five games against QPR, with their last lost coming in March of 2013 in a 2-1 loss.

QPR are unbeaten in their last four midweek match-ups keeping a clean sheet in three of them.

However, Southampton have won six of their eight midweek games over the entire season, losing only one of them to Bristol City.

With the end of the season getting ever closer every point is going to matter and with both of these teams just four points away from the playoff places, tonight could be crucial come the end of the season.
