Frank Lampard admits ”defensive issues” after his side suffer defeat to Norwich City

THE sky blues have been on fire this season, as they sit top of the EFL Championship with a three point advantage over Middlesborough.

Coventry faced another loss last night to an in form Norwich City side, the canaries struck twice following Romain Esse’s early goal, seeing the game finish 2-1.

Frank Lampard’s side have conceded seven goals in the last five games, leading to questions being asked of the Coventry City defence.

The Coventry boss has since addressed this saying

”They fell bellow standard making mistakes they usually don’t make.”

”We can only work on that ourselves.”

With less than a week remaining in the transfer window, it is uncertain as to wether Frank will look to boost his sides defence.

The Ex England star has boosted his attack so far this January with three loan signings, Romain Esse being one of those.

The Crystal Palace youngster has impressed on arrival, scoring two goals in his first three matches. One of which coming against is former club Millwall in a 2-1 victory.

Coventry face QPR next at Loftus Road, where Frank’s side will look to bounce back and push on in their bid for promotion.
