THE Aaron Page Classic is an event in the honour of the deceased Aaron Page who was a cofounder the Barbell Division gym, who host the event.
This is the 5th year the event has ran and marked a big change with it being the first time the event was hosted outside the gym.
With the event being the biggest iteration yet with over 300 spectators and over 90 athletes Barbell Division uped and moved to St Mary’s Northern fan zone.
The event had a Mens and Womens open weight division, an under 100kg males division and an under 70k women’s division.
Under 100kg competitor James Beard spoke to how the character of Aaron Page:
“He was a phenomenal athlete for one but a nicer bloke.”
