The German has experience managing Europes top teams, in Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
The English FA snapped him up when they got the chance, expecting him to go far in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
England fans have been calling for an international trophy for decades, their latest manager Gareth Southgate being the closest to that success, reaching two finals during his tenure.
