Thomas Frank’s replacement found with Southampton legend set to take over at Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank sat at a press conference next to an image of the club badge.

With Tottenham Hotspur lurking ever closer to joining the relegation battle as they sit in 14th position in the Premier League, Thomas Frank’s position as manager is at risk and we have just the man for the job.

Step up Solent lecturer and Spurs enthusiast David Reilly. But what will Reilly-ball look?

STYLE OF PLAY

Spurs are in for a shake up under Reilly as a free-flowing, expressive style arrives at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, encouraging his players to be creative with a rumour going around that a front five will be deployed to score more goals.

Speaking about his desired style of play, Reilly said: “I like to encourage my teams to just go out there and have fun, this squad morale is low but full of talent so we need them to enjoy playing for results to come.”

WHO’S IN AND WHO’S OUT

The potential appointment of Reilly spells the end for a number of first team regulars as a new era at Spurs begins (they probably won’t win much in this era either).

Leaving the squad first would be Guglielmo Vicario, who Reilly has made clear would be the first man to be dropped to give Antonin Kinsky a run of games in goal. Another casualty would be Wilson Odobert as the attacker hasn’t impressed his potential new gaffer so far in a Tottenham shirt.

Coming into the team would be a flurry of young talent as Reilly would want to promote the Spurs DNA. Mikey Moore would be recalled from his loan spell and immediately start, with fellow academy player Lucá Williams-Barnett set to get his chance.

TOUCHLINE CLOBBER

Arguably the most important information any Spurs fan needs to know about their incoming manager is what he would wear on the touchline, and it is a topic that lit up a sparkle in Reilly’s eyes.

  • UEFA Champions League: A competition that Spurs need to take seriously is matched by the gaffer’s choice, and there is only one correct answer. Full suit and tie, he means business.
  • Premier League (Home): Coming in as manager after a tough spell means Reilly would need to earn the respect of the fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He would opt for a smart look, with a shirt and quarter zip the preferred style.
  • Premier League (Away): Reilly would choose a much more relaxed look away from home with a club tracksuit the go-to fashion. With all that travel it makes sense and shows that it’s not all about looking stylish.
  • Cup games: Oh wait, Tottenham are out of both….no need to worry about that then.

REILLY IN OR OUT

So there’s a sneak peak of what could be coming to the capital, the question is will he be the man to save Spurs?
