AFTER a season of poor performances on and off the pitch from the players and fans, St Mary’s have added goal music to enhance the atmosphere.
The lucky chosen song was Kernkraft 400, some fans love it and some fans want it gone.
It was first debuted out in the stadium during the pre-season friendlies, after these matches fans took to X asking for it to stay for the season.
Southampton have scored 19 goals at home this season in 10 matches, the fans believe it brings better atmosphere and St Mary’s needed to improve the atmosphere this season if they want to make it a fortress in a difficult season.
Alfie House, who is a Sports Journalist for the Daily Echo covers Saints’ games and believes it boosts much needed morale.
“The atmosphere at St Mary’s did need a lift, after the results after the last couple of years… for me it is a bit of fun and a well-needed lift.”
