Scotland aim to get back to winning ways in Amsterdam

Scotland commence their International break against The Netherlands tonight at 7:45pm.

The Scots have struggled to taste success in their past five games going back to September since they last clinched victory against Cyprus 3-0 in their Euro qualifier.

However Scotlands manager Steve Clark is determined that his players can put this ongoing ridicule to bed.

Clark admitted;”If we want to continue to improve and get to where we want to be then those are matches we should win, so that’s something we can improve on.

“We want a positive result this week.”

The Scottish players have dealt with the demand of the fixture between the two European outfits well this week already and are prepared to carry their weight for their homeland.

Clarke declared;”The training has been really intense to be fair to the players.

“They want to do well every time they come away to represent their country, this group is always competitive – I’ve always spoken highly of them. “

When the Scots last visited the Johan Cruyff Arena they were stopped at a 2-2 draw against the Netherlands who retaliated to deny Clarke and his side the win, despite originally coming back from a goal down in 2021.

After flying to Amsterdam Clarks squadron will travel back to Hampden Park at home to battle it out against home nation Northern Ireland on Tuesday 26th March at 7:45pm.
