ALL 20 Premier League clubs have been sent three brand new initiatives to revamp TV coverage of England’s top flight.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, each club has received three new proposals to be reviewed in a new initiative which may revolutionise how fans see the games on television.
The three proposed changes are as follows:
1- Interviewing players who have been substituted
2- Half-time interviews with players or managers
3- Broadcast footage of dressing rooms at half/full-time
It is said that the broadcasters will have a list of five players or coaches provided by the club to ask three ‘positive’ questions before they come out for the second half.
Broadcasters are also reportedly keen to get mid-game interviews with players and managers. As well as a minimum of ‘one or two’ half-time dressing room broadcasts per-season.
These proposals are, if accepted, set to be introduced next season, although it’s currently unclear as to whether all 20 clubs will accept the initiatives.
It is also reported that several clubs, including Liverpool and Manchester United were involved the introduction of mid-match interviews, which have never been conducted in Premier League history.
