Magnificent 7 Preview-

From the glitz and glam of the Saudi kingdom to the more, down to earth of Birmingham. Boxing returns to the United Kingdom this Saturday to the Resorts World Arena. Queensbury have a strong outing with the second iteration of the Magnificent Seven.

Nathan Heaney Vs Brad Pauls

Let us start at the seemingly most popular man on the whole card.

Nathan Heaney is 18-0 with a huge win over Denzel Bentley in his last outing where he headlined.

Heaney not only has the boxing quality to pull a upset, like against Bentley, but also the selling power by selling over 2000 tickets for the main event.

He takes on Brad Pauls who has had a strong but turbulent time in the professional ranks starting 16-0 then taking his first loss in a English Middleweight title fight to Tyler Denny.

Both come in looking to progress to world level and potentially even further

Liam Davies Vs Erik Robles Ayala

Next up is a world title fight as two bantamweights battle it out for the IBO world title.

Liam Davies is no stranger to hard work spending his early career training in between shifts as a bin man.

But he takes on a very game Erik Robles Ayala who has 9 knockouts in 16 fights.

Both will have eyes on a potential unification fight with Japanese star Nayoa Inoue who takes on Luis Nery in May.

Joe Joyce Vs Kash Ali

Joyce looks to bounce back after two back to back losses to Zheili Zhang.

The Juggernauts supposed rock solid chin broken and bruised after the Chinese powerhouse tore through him.

He takes on Kash Ali who comes off his first no DQ loss ever against Bohdan Myronets.

Ali is most known for his DQ loss against David Price where Kash tried a MMA like takedown on Price then bit him whilst on the floor, resulting in a Disqualification.

Both will look to rejuvenate there careers after this one, all be it for different reasons.

Dennis McCann Vs Brad Strand

McCann in theme with this card is looking to return after a learning curve in his last fight against Ionut Baluta which ended in a disappointing draw.

Its not just another bounce back fight either with Brad Strand looking to progress his career and unbeaten 11-0-0 record.

McCann has been his usual self through fight week making jabs at proud Liverpudlian Strand saying “I can sell more tickets in Liverpool than you”

This comes after a recent move in camp McCann moved to Joe McNally and Liverpool for this and future camps after the Baluta Draw.

McNally has trained the likes of Josh Taylor, Liam Smith and now stable mate of McCann Pierce O’Leary.

Pierce O’Leary Vs Hovhannes Martirosyan

Talk of the devil and he shall appear, Pierce O’Leary returns to action after a big Unanimous Decision against Kane Gardner for the international Super Lightweight title.

O’Leary as mentioned before has moved with McCann to the McNally gym in a bid to improve to world level fights.

Hovhannes Martirosyan is a fighter to be scared off with 10 ko’s in 16 fights the Belgium brute will look to make a name for himself on the English stage this weekend.

Zach Parker, who’s only loss is to recently retired John Ryder, takes on Tyron Zuege who makes a UK debut after fighting solely in Germany.
