Southampton Women’s vs Arsenal Women’s

Both teams take the knee with the continuing fight against racism in the game.

18:34 – Arsenal have a chance to score but it’s just wide from 17 Lina Hurting

18:39 – A very even start to the game with not many shots between the two teams.

18:44 – Ball was cut back across goal by Arsenals Hurting to Alessia Russo. But a brilliant block by the Southampton defender denied them of a goalscoring opportunity.

18:47 – Jemma Purfield for Southampton has been down for a few minutes now. She now makes her way to her feet.

18:49 – ball played through to Russo but she’s offside.

18:54 – Arsenal are looking very confident down the left hand side.

Good first half. Arsenal have been the more dominant side, but have failed to make anything of their opportunities.
Southampton have looked good at times but haven’t had control of the game leading into half-time.
Southampton are going to have to come up with something special after the break.
