BRIAN BRANCH has recieved a one game suspension after he had a fight with Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster but has not recieved a fine. Branch told by NFL his actions “clearly violated the standards of conduct”. The Safety is set to miss the teams’ next matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night.
A brawl broke out between the both sides at the end of the game after the Chiefs beat the Lions 30-17 on Monday night, Branch walked towards JuJu Smith-Schuster and threw a punch which then resulted in a mass scuffle.

The 23-year-old will be eligible to re-join the active roster the following day after the Buccaneers game.
Branch spoke after the brawl had ended: “I did a little childish thing, but I’m tired of people doing stuff in between the play and refs don’t catch it. They were trying to bully me out there and I don’t – I shouldn’t have done it. It was childish”
Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke further on the situation: “I love Brian Branch, but what he did is inexcusable. It’s not going to be accepted here. It’s not what we do, it’s not what we do, it’s not what we’re about.”
