Chelsea given tough draw in Champions League group stages

The Champions League draw is out, so teams will be eager to see who they will face in the competition.

Chelsea will be the only English team participating in the competition with the European elites, as they look to win the competition for the first time in their history.

The blues have been given two tough fixtures in their group stage. They will have to play Spanish giants Real Madrid and high flying Paris FC from France.

Chelsea reached the semi final of the competition last year, losing 2-1 to the eventual winners Barcelona showing that the team has potential to go far in the competition.

The blues will also face Swedish side BK Hacken as the other team that makes up the rest of their group D.

Paris FC had outstanding qualifying rounds. The French side beat Arsenal and last seasons finalist Wolfsburg in the process.

The group stage will begin on November 14th and end on January 31st with the top 2 teams in each group progressing to the next round of the competition.

The other groups consist of:

Group A: Barcelona, FC Rosengard, Benfica, Eintracht Frankfurt

Group B: Lyon, Slavia Prague, St Polten, SK Brann

Group C: Bayern Munich, Paris St-Germain, Roma, Ajax
